The Lance of Longinus — or 'Spear of Cassius' in the later rebuilds — is Evangelion's most symbol-heavy object. Red, double-helix, world-ending; the tool that drives Shinji to choose humanity's fate across both the TV series and the Rebuild films. This replica follows the End of Evangelion / 3.0+1.0 design, including the spiralling dual prongs and the hollowed mid-section.

How it's made
Full-metal construction
The blade and key structural parts are machined from solid carbon steel, then hand-finished to the reference silhouette. The surface is polished to a mirror sheen on flats and brushed along the bevel — this gives the piece real heft and the same light-catch you see on the original source. Edges are intentionally blunted for display: no re-sharpening is required (or recommended).
Handle & hilt
The grip is wrapped in leather-look cord over a steel tang, tensioned by hand so the hand-feel is firm without slipping. Pommel and guard are a single cast piece — no hollow core, no rattle. The wrap can be re-tensioned with the included care card instructions if needed.
Quality control
Every piece is inspected at our UK workshop before dispatch: fit check, paint check, wrap-tension check, and a tap test on any threaded joints. If it fails any of the above, it doesn't ship. Our craftsmanship warranty covers you for 12 months against manufacturing defects.

Keep it looking workshop-fresh
Wipe with a soft, dry microfiber after handling to remove skin oils.
Store indoors, away from direct sunlight and humidity above 60% RH.
Lightly oil the blade every 3–6 months with mineral oil or camellia oil — a few drops on a cloth is enough.
Avoid harsh cleaners; never use water directly on wrapped grips (it can loosen the wrap tension).
If you see a micro-spot of oxidation, buff gently with 0000-grade steel wool then re-oil. Do not use abrasive polish.
